In This Guide
Short answer: In a drop, your photo shares a collage with up to 20 OnlyFans creators, so it has to read at a glance: one clear subject, your face or signature look, and a bright, uncluttered frame. Pair it with a three-word caption and an emoji, and tag it with your OnlyFans @username. Our software writes the drop post caption itself.
- Your photo is the hook. In a collage of up to 20, it's seen small, and the first spot is random.
- Your caption is three words and an emoji. Make them say who you are or why to tap today.
- Your tag is your @username. Drops don't use a separate tracking link; a paid page joins free page drops with a free trial link.
Full disclosure: we make ShareYourFans® and run its Collage Drops, which are free on every plan. OnlyFans' ad-label rules quoted here come from its Terms of Use (last updated August 2024, checked September 2026).
1. What is a Collage Drop?
A drop is like an SFS with up to 20 creators. Everyone who joins sends in their promo, and the drop becomes one collage with every creator in it. Each creator then posts the drop on their OnlyFans, and in the most common kind of drop group the drop post stays up for 24 hours.
On ShareYourFans®, the collage also lives on after that day. When a drop goes live, the collage shows on more.fun™ and our software auto-posts it to our company X account and our Bluesky account, where it never expires.
So your promo post has two jobs: stand out in the collage on every participating creator's page, and keep working in the collage on social media for good.
What you send in: a picture, a caption and a link. That's the same for every drop. In the app, you pick an emoji, write a caption of exactly 3 words and type your profile tag, which on OnlyFans is your @username. In our Telegram drop groups, you send `/drop username`, then your photo, caption and link. You don't have to write the drop post itself: our software writes the caption on the drop post.
2. How do you pick a photo that stands out in a collage?
Pick a photo that still works when it's small, because in a collage of up to 20 creators, nobody sees it full size. A spin wheel picks who goes first, so every creator gets a fair chance at the first spot. That's different from regular drop groups, where the host always puts themselves first. We don't do that on ShareYourFans®, because it isn't fair. Your photo has to earn the tap wherever it lands.
- One subject: you. No group shots, no busy backgrounds.
- Your face or your signature look, easy to read. Fans scroll a collage fast. The thing they remember you by should be obvious at thumbnail size.
- Bright and sharp. A dim or blurry photo gets lost next to well-lit ones.
- A clear niche signal. If your niche is a look (an outfit, a setting, a style), let the photo show it, so the right fans recognise you at a glance.
- Fresh. Rotate your drop photos. The same fans can see several drops, and a new photo gives them a new reason to look.
The photo rules
Every photo in a collage must be safe for work. That keeps us in compliance with our credit card processors, and the collage goes to more.fun™ and our X and Bluesky accounts as well as OnlyFans.
- SFW only: think Instagram-safe.
- Fully clothed.
- No emojis covering anything.
- Only photos of you, the verified creator.
3. What should a drop caption say?
Your drop caption is three words, with an emoji you select. Our software writes the caption on the drop post itself, so your three words are the part that's yours. Three words won't hold a pitch, so give them one job.
| Part | What it does | Example shape (fill in your own) |
|---|---|---|
| Who you are | Lets the right fans recognise you | Your niche or vibe |
| Why now | Turns a glance into a tap | A free page, or a free trial on your link |
| The emoji | Sets the tone at a glance | One that fits your page |
| Your voice | Makes it sound like a person, not an ad | Words you'd use with a fan |
Keep it honest. A caption that promises something your page doesn't have brings fans who leave.
For more on writing in your own voice, see our post on whether your caption actually sounds like you.
4. Which link should you use in a drop?
Drops use your profile tag, not a separate tracking link for each drop. On OnlyFans, that's your @username. What changes with your page is which drop groups suit you:
- Free page drops are for free pages. Free-To-Enter pages and Free Trial Link pages count as free for drops.
- Paid page drops are for paid (VIP) pages.
- A paid page can still join a free page drop, with a free trial link. Just know that in a free drop, fans who want free pages may skip past a paid one.
Our full guide to free trial links for SFS from a paid page covers how to set them up for swaps and drops.
5. How do you post your drop and prove it?
Once the drop closes, you post it on your OnlyFans and keep it up for as long as the group asks. A drop closes when 20 creators are in the collage, or 24 hours after it opened with at least 3 creators in it, whichever comes first.
- Schedule the collage for the set time. Once the drop closes, our admin makes the collage, and every creator in it schedules the collage, with the caption we provide, for the drop's set time. In the most common kind of group, it stays up for 24 hours.
- Prove it. On the free plan, you schedule it yourself and send a screenshot as proof. With Pro, our software schedules it for you automatically.
- Space it from your own content. A drop post is a post about other creators too. There's no cap on how many drops you can join, as long as you deliver on each one, but we recommend no more than 2–3 pinned drops a day, and 5 at most.
Drop posts get #advertisement, the same as every promo on our Promo Marketplace. OnlyFans' Terms of Use ask creators to clearly label advertising content in the caption with a signifier such as #ad, #paidpromotion or #sponsored.
6. How do you know if your drop post worked?
Drops use your @username rather than a tracking link of their own, so a drop doesn't come with its own per-drop count. Here's what you can still do:
- Keep a simple drop log: the group, the date, the photo and the three words you used.
- Watch your new subscribers around each drop day, and compare drop days with quiet ones.
- On a paid page using a free trial link, the fans who take the trial are counted as claims on that link.
- Change one thing at a time. Try a new photo in the next drop and keep the caption, or the other way round, so you know which change made the difference.
Drops have no ratings on ShareYourFans®; ratings are only for SFS.
7. How did drop promo work before ShareYourFans®?
Before ShareYourFans®, drops ran in Telegram groups, and the biggest difference was how long your promo lasted: in typical Telegram drop groups, the collage was gone after a day.
It was never fair, either. In other Telegram drop groups, the creator hosting the drop always put themselves, and the friends and models they drop for, in the first spots.
| Before | On ShareYourFans® | |
|---|---|---|
| How long the collage lasts | About a day | Forever, on more.fun™, X and Bluesky |
| First spot | The host, their friends and the models they drop for | A random creator, by spin wheel; we never put ourselves first |
| Spotlight | The collage, for a day | more.fun™ slideshows give every creator the spotlight |
Our drop groups are hosted by our own Telegram bot, so random people can't join, and minimum stats are enforced where a group has them. Proof is a screenshot you send on the free plan, and it's added for you on Pro.
8. Risks and tradeoffs
- A great photo can still miss the wrong crowd. If the drop group's fans want a different niche, you'll see few new subscribers from it. Try a group closer to your niche.
- A drop has no per-drop count. It uses your @username, so keep your own log of which drops you joined.
- A paid page in a free drop may get skipped by fans who want free pages. Paid page drops are the closer fit.
- Over-promising costs you later. Fans who were promised something your page doesn't have won't stay.
- Drop posts take feed space. Keep your own content around them.
- The free plan is hands-on. Scheduling and screenshot proof are manual until you go Pro.
FAQ
What makes a good promo photo for an OnlyFans drop?
One clear subject, your face or signature look easy to read at thumbnail size, and a bright, uncluttered frame. Your photo sits in a collage of up to 20 creators, and the first spot is random, so it has to stand out wherever it lands.
What should I write in an OnlyFans drop caption?
Three words, with an emoji you select: say who you are or why to tap now, in your own voice. Our software writes the caption on the drop post itself.
Which link should I use in an OnlyFans drop?
Your profile tag, which on OnlyFans is your @username. Drops don't use a separate tracking link for each drop. On ShareYourFans®, a paid page can join paid page drops, or a free page drop with a free trial link.
How long does a drop post stay up on OnlyFans?
It depends on the drop group. In the most common kind, the drop post stays up for 24 hours. On ShareYourFans®, the collage also goes on more.fun™ and our X and Bluesky accounts, where it never expires.
