Short answer: When your OnlyFans page is paid, put a free trial link in your SFS instead of your plain profile link, and use one when you join a free page drop, so new fans can subscribe without paying up front. Make a separate free trial link for each SFS partner, and count the claims on each one to see which swaps bring you new subscribers.
- A paid OnlyFans page can join free-page drop groups on ShareYourFans® with a free trial link.
- Every SFS sends a picture, a caption and a link. The link is the part a paid page changes.
- Claims are the fans who took your free trial through a link. They tell you which partner is worth swapping with again.
Full disclosure: we make ShareYourFans® and run its SFS, Collage Drops and GG Swaps. OnlyFans' own rules quoted here come from its Terms of Use (last updated August 2024, checked September 2026).
1. Why does a paid OnlyFans page need a free trial link for SFS?
An SFS (shout for shout) is a free swap where two creators post each other to their own fans. If your page is free, a fan who taps your link can subscribe in one step. If your page is paid, that same fan meets your price before they've seen anything of yours.
A free trial link lowers that first step. The fan gets in free for the trial, sees your content, and decides whether to stay. For a partner with a free page, it also makes the swap fair: their fans get the same free first step to you that your fans get to them.
OnlyFans defines a subscription as access to a creator's content "for a specific period of time … in exchange for authorised automatic renewal payments." A free trial is your way of letting a new fan into that before the first payment.
How long should the trial be? There's no single right answer; it depends on the creator. That said, we see a lot of creators have luck with 30-day free trials, so it's a good length to start with and adjust from.
2. Can a paid OnlyFans page do SFS and drops on ShareYourFans®?
Yes, both. Our drop groups come in two types, free page drops and paid page drops, and a paid OnlyFans page can join either: paid page drops as it is, or a free page drop with a free trial link (in a free drop, fans who want free pages may skip past a paid one). And in a one-to-one SFS, a VIP page can swap with a free page: the VIP page uses a free trial link, and the free page uses a campaign link. A drop is like an SFS with up to 20 creators, so the same logic carries across.
| Free OnlyFans page | Paid OnlyFans page | |
|---|---|---|
| Link in your SFS | A campaign link | A free trial link |
| Drop groups | Free page drops (your @username is your tag) | Paid page drops, or free page drops with a free trial link |
| What a new fan pays to get in | Nothing | Nothing during the trial |
| What you count | New subscribers on the link | Claims on the free trial link |
| Guaranteed gains (Pro) | GG subscribers, counted through a campaign link | GG subscribers to a VIP page, through free trial links |
Our SFS listings and filters show whether a creator's page is free or paid, so you know which kind of page you're swapping with before you send a request.
3. How do you set up a free trial link for a swap?
Set up a free trial link per partner, not one link for everyone. That's what lets you see which partner's fans actually claimed it.
- Make a new free trial link for this partner. One link per swap.
- Name it after the partner and the date, like "SFS partner name, 6 Oct". You'll be comparing these later.
- Pick the trial length and claim limit before you send it. It depends on you, but a lot of creators have luck with 30 days.
- Paste it as the link in your SFS. Your partner posts your picture, caption and this link on their OnlyFans.
- Check the claims after the post has been up. That's how many of their fans took your trial.
4. How does an SFS run on ShareYourFans®, step by step?
An SFS on ShareYourFans® is free, on every plan, and you can do up to 3 in each 24-hour cycle.
- Verify your OnlyFans stats. Use our browser extension, or a screen recording our team checks. Free-plan creators re-verify every 30 days; Pro creators never do, because we pull their stats daily.
- Find a partner. Filter Browse Creators by the things you care about, or message us and we'll suggest creators who'd fit. You pick your partners yourself.
- Agree the swap. Format, day, how long each post stays up, and the fact that your link is a free trial link.
- Send your picture, caption and link. Your partner posts yours, and you post theirs.
- Add each other to your Friends List on OnlyFans. When you do, each of you shows up among the other's suggested creators.
- Post by the deadline. On the free plan, schedule your side and upload a screenshot of your scheduled post. On Pro, scheduling is automated.
- Rate each other once the swap is complete. Ratings exist only for SFS, so they come from swaps people finished.
What to write in your caption when your page is paid
Tell your partner's fans the trial is free, because that's the reason to tap right now. Keep it short and in your voice:
- Who you are, in a few words: your niche and your vibe.
- What they get, in plain words: what you post and how you chat.
- The free part: that the link gets them in free for the trial.
Don't promise anything your page doesn't deliver. A fan who feels misled leaves when the trial ends.
5. Can you use free trial links for guaranteed gains and GG Swaps?
Yes, on Pro. On OnlyFans, guaranteed gains come in two kinds: GG subscribers on a free page, counted through a campaign link, or GG subscribers to a VIP page through free trial links. So a paid VIP page can buy a set number of new subscribers that are counted as claims on a free trial link.
A GG Swap is the swap version: two OnlyFans creators each deliver guaranteed gains to the other. GG Swaps are a Pro feature, because both creators need Pro for the automation, and you can run up to 3 at a time. Both creators must be on OnlyFans; GG Swaps are same-platform only.
When both pages are paid, both use a free trial link. A campaign link can't make that swap fair, because the two pages cost different amounts. Say one page is $10 a month and the other is $50 a month: a new subscriber is worth something different to each creator, so a like-for-like exchange isn't possible. A free trial link puts both sides on the same footing, which is why VIP pages do GG Swaps with free trial links. You also get automatic completion notices, so you're not chasing the other creator for updates.
6. How did paid pages swap before ShareYourFans®?
Before ShareYourFans®, a paid page doing SFS had to sort everything out in DMs and Telegram groups.
- Stats came as screen recordings, sent in chat.
- Drop collages expired. In typical Telegram drop groups, the collage was gone after a day.
- GG meant chasing. You shared your tracking link stats with the other creator so they could see the claims, then kept checking and updating them by hand.
- Paid pages stood out in free-page drops. Paid pages weren't really turned away, but a paid page wouldn't want to drop alongside all free pages: why would a fan pay to subscribe to you when they can subscribe to everyone else in the collage for free?
| Before | On ShareYourFans® | |
|---|---|---|
| Paid page in a free-page drop | Not really turned away, but the only page in the collage asking fans to pay | Joins with a free trial link, so fans get in free like everyone else |
| Partner stats | A screen recording | Verified stats, re-checked every 30 days (daily on Pro) |
| Drop collage | Gone after a day | On more.fun™, X and Bluesky for good |
| GG claim updates | Shared and checked by hand | Pro automation on GG Swaps |
| Swap reputation | Reviews posted in Telegram channels | Ratings after every completed SFS |
7. Risks and tradeoffs
- A claim isn't a renewal. Some trial fans leave when the trial ends. Judge a partner by how many claims turn into paying subscribers, not just claims.
- One shared link hides everything. If every partner gets the same trial link, you can't tell which swap worked.
- Overlap wastes a swap. Fans who already subscribe to you can't become new subscribers. If you both have Pro, check fan overlap first.
- Feed space. Every swap is a post about someone else on your page. Space swaps out between your own content.
- Your caption has to match your page. The trial gets fans in the door; your content keeps them.
FAQ
Can I do SFS if my OnlyFans page is paid?
Yes. Use a free trial link as the link in your SFS so your partner's fans can try your page before they pay. On ShareYourFans®, a paid OnlyFans page can join free-page drop groups with a free trial link, and SFS is free on every plan.
What's the difference between a campaign link and a free trial link for SFS?
A campaign link points fans to your page and counts who subscribes through it, which suits a free page. A free trial link lets fans into a paid page free for the trial, and the fans who take it are counted as claims. Use one per partner either way.
How many SFS can I do in a day on ShareYourFans®?
Up to 3 in each 24-hour cycle. A fourth can't be scheduled in that window, so you pick a later date and time. SFS is always free on ShareYourFans®; Pro automates the scheduling.
Can I buy guaranteed gains for a paid OnlyFans page?
Yes, on Pro. OnlyFans guaranteed gains can be GG subscribers to a VIP page through free trial links, counted as claims. GG Swaps work the same way between two OnlyFans creators who both have Pro, up to 3 at a time.
