Short answer: To sell OnlyFans promotions safely, get paid before you deliver, label every promo the way OnlyFans' terms require, and only take orders your audience can genuinely deliver for. Safe selling protects your money, your account and your rating at the same time.
- Your money: the buyer pays up front and the payment is held until delivery.
- Your account: an ad label on every promo, and nobody ever gets your login.
- Your rating: fans who fit the buyer's niche, counted with a tracking link, so results speak for themselves.
Full disclosure: we make ShareYourFans®, and our Promo Marketplace is one of the places you can sell. Anything we say about OnlyFans' rules is from OnlyFans' Terms of Use and its official blog, as they read in September 2026.
1. What does it mean to sell OnlyFans promotions safely?
Selling OnlyFans promotions safely means three things go right on every order: you get paid, your OnlyFans account stays in good standing, and the buyer gets the kind of fans they paid for. Most sellers think only about the first. The third is what decides whether buyers come back.
| Risk | What it looks like | What protects you |
|---|---|---|
| Payment | A buyer disappears after the promo goes out, or disputes it later | Payment taken up front and held until delivery |
| Your account | A paid promo with no ad label, or someone asking for your login | An ad label on every promo; no login ever shared |
| Your reputation | Clicks that never turn into subscribers, then a bad review | Selling only to niches your fans want, with honest terms |
A promotion is any paid placement you give another OnlyFans creator: a feed post, a mass DM, or guaranteed gains (GG), where you promise a minimum number of new subscribers.
2. How did selling OnlyFans promo work before ShareYourFans®?
Before ShareYourFans®, sellers ran promo deals through Telegram groups, X DMs and their own notes. It worked, but the seller carried the admin and most of the risk.
- Chasing payment. Some buyers paid first, some promised to pay after, and some never did.
- Proving your reach with screenshots. Buyers had no way to check your numbers, so every deal started with a screenshot and some doubt.
- Chasing GG updates. On a guaranteed gains order, the buyer had to share their OnlyFans tracking link stats so you knew how many claims it was at. Keeping up meant constant manual checking.
- Tracking every order by hand: who paid, what was posted, when it comes down and what is still owed.
- No referee. If a buyer said the promo didn't work, it was your word against theirs.
How has ShareYourFans® improved selling promo?
- Payment first. The buyer pays when they order, and we hold it until the promo is delivered.
- Stats from the platform. Every seller runs our browser extension, so your subscriber count and Top % on the listing come straight from OnlyFans, not a screenshot.
- GG counted for you. Guaranteed subscribers are counted through the buyer's tracking link, and you are notified automatically when the guarantee is met.
- Scheduling built in. You set each promo up once, with repeats and an expiry if you want them, and both of you get a notice when it's fulfilled.
- A fair referee. If a claim is opened, we review both sides before anything is decided.
| Selling on your own | Selling on ShareYourFans® | |
|---|---|---|
| Getting paid | Trust, or chase it | Paid up front, held until delivery, then paid out |
| Showing your reach | A screenshot | Verified stats from the platform |
| Counting GG | Asking the buyer for updates | Counted through the buyer's tracking link |
| Delivering | Posting by hand | Scheduled, with repeat and expiry |
| Disputes | Your word against theirs | Evidence from both sides, reviewed by us |
| Ad label | Remember to add it | #advertisement added automatically |
3. How does a safe sale work on our Promo Marketplace, step by step?
A sale on our Promo Marketplace follows the same steps every time, and money only moves at the end.
- Set up once. Start Pro on ShareYourFans®, then link our browser extension. Any subscriber count can sell.
- Verify for payouts. Because real money changes hands, sellers verify their identity and complete a tax form (W-9 or W-8BEN) through MassPay before selling.
- Create your listing under Promo → Create Listing: feed post, mass DM or guaranteed gains, with your price and your terms.
- The buyer orders and pays. Delivery timelines are locked in at purchase, so both sides know when the promo starts.
- You deliver. Schedule the promo in a few clicks. We add #advertisement to every promo automatically.
- Both sides confirm. The buyer and seller each confirm delivery and leave a review before the order closes.
- You get paid. Payouts go through MassPay on Tuesdays and Thursdays, minus the 15% fee, so a $100 promo pays you $85. That 15% goes to billing, platform maintenance and escrow; it isn't a commission.
If a buyer thinks the promo didn't meet the listing terms, they have 7 days after delivery to open a Buyer Protection claim. Both of you send evidence, the buyer and you as the seller, and once we've reviewed it, a claim ends in one of three ways: money back in full, money back in part, or the promo delivered again. Clear terms on your listing are your strongest evidence. Our Help Center explains buying and selling on the Promo Marketplace in more detail.
4. What is low-quality traffic, and how do you avoid sending it?
Low-quality traffic is promo traffic that clicks but doesn't become paying fans of the buyer. A seller rarely sends it on purpose. It usually comes from a mismatch between your audience and the buyer's page, which you can mostly control.
- Sell to niches your fans already want. Fans who like your content are more likely to tap through to a creator who posts something similar.
- Check fan overlap. If both of you are on Pro, the order shows what percentage of fans you already share. Promo to fans who already subscribe to the buyer adds nothing new.
- Describe what makes your promo work. Say how many fans you have, whether you can still message expired fans, whether a feed post is pinned or unpinned and how long it stays up, and whether a mass DM is unsent later or stays forever. Buyers who know exactly what they're getting dispute less.
- Recommend a tracking link. We always recommend buyers use one. On Pro, an order with a tracking link shows its clicks, subscribers and revenue, so good results speak for you.
- Never pad the numbers. Bought followers or bots don't subscribe, and a guarantee filled with them is a guarantee you haven't met.
5. How do you sell guaranteed gains without the risk?
Guaranteed gains carry the most risk for a seller, because you promise an outcome rather than a post. Selling GG safely comes down to promising only what your audience can deliver.
- Know which kind you're selling. On OnlyFans, GG means guaranteed subscribers to a free page, counted through a campaign link, or guaranteed subscribers to a paid (VIP) page through free trial links.
- Price per subscriber, and set the guarantee below what you've delivered before, not above it.
- Let the link do the counting. Subscribers are counted through the buyer's tracking link, and you're notified when the guarantee is met.
- Plan for a shortfall. A GG order that misses its number is yours to fix, either by promoting more or by refunding. Build that into your price.
GG is Pro-only for buyers and sellers, so fan overlap always shows on a GG order before anyone commits.
6. Checklist before you sell your first promo
- Verify your stats and connect the browser extension.
- Finish identity and tax verification through MassPay.
- Write listing terms that say the format, the start window and how long the promo stays live.
- Keep an ad label on every paid promo. OnlyFans' Terms of Use want the caption to carry #ad, #paidpromotion, #sponsored or similar, and to name who paid.
- Turn down buyers whose niche your fans won't care about.
- Check fan overlap on Pro before you accept.
- Ask for a tracking link on every order.
- Keep your OnlyFans password and 2FA codes to yourself. No buyer, seller or tool needs them.
7. Risks and tradeoffs
- The fee. Selling through the marketplace costs 15% of each completed sale, which covers billing, platform maintenance and escrow. Selling privately keeps 100% but leaves you to collect payment, prove delivery and settle disputes alone.
- Pro costs money. Sellers need Pro, which is $35 monthly for one profile and starts with 7 free days, charged nothing up front.
- Payouts aren't instant. You're paid after both sides confirm, on the next Tuesday or Thursday payout.
- Ratings are public. One rushed order shows on your listing for every future buyer.
- Your feed is the product. OnlyFans' promotion guide reminds creators that promotion shouldn't crowd out the content existing fans subscribe for, so cap how many promos you run each day.
FAQ
How do I sell OnlyFans promotions safely?
Take payment before you deliver, label every promo as an ad, and sell only to creators your fans will like. On ShareYourFans®, the buyer pays up front, we hold it until delivery, and you're paid by MassPay after both sides confirm. A tracking link on each order shows the buyer what it earned.
How do I avoid sending low-quality traffic as a promo seller?
Match buyers to your audience. Sell to niches your fans already follow, check fan overlap on Pro before accepting, and describe exactly what the promo includes. Never pad a guarantee with bought followers or bots: they don't subscribe, and the buyer's tracking link will show it.
What happens if a buyer disputes my promo?
The buyer has 7 days after delivery to open a Buyer Protection claim. You each send evidence, and after reviewing both sides we decide between a full refund, a partial refund or delivering the promo again. Clear listing terms and an on-time scheduled promo are your best protection.
Do I need to label paid promos on OnlyFans?
Yes. Under OnlyFans' Terms of Use, paid promotional content needs a label in its caption, like #ad, #paidpromotion or #sponsored, and must name who paid for it. On ShareYourFans®, #advertisement is added to every promo automatically.
Is it safe to sell guaranteed gains?
It is when the count comes from the buyer's tracking link and you only guarantee what your audience can deliver. A seller who misses the number owes more promo or a refund, so price your guarantee with some room to spare.
