Short answer: SFS on OnlyFans (shout for shout), or an SFS collaboration, is when two creators promote each other's page to their own fans. It costs nothing but a shoutout in return, and a study of YouTube creator collaborations found that both channels often picked up new viewers and subscribers.

  • How it works: you post a promo for your partner, they post one for you, and each of you uses a tracking link so the new subscribers can be counted.
  • Why it can lift your earnings: the fans who see an SFS are already on OnlyFans, and a new subscriber can also tip, unlock PPV and renew.
  • Where to swap: SFS is free for everyone on ShareYourFans®, with verified stats, partner filters and ratings after every finished swap.

Full disclosure: we make ShareYourFans®, and SFS is one of the tools we offer adult creators. The outside facts in this guide come from OnlyFans' own guides, OnlyFans' company accounts as reported by Euronews, and a peer-reviewed study of YouTube creator collaborations (all checked September 2026).

1. What is SFS on OnlyFans?

SFS on OnlyFans is a promotion trade between two creators: you shout out their page to your fans, and they shout out yours to theirs. No money changes hands. If a creator charges for the shoutout, that's paid promo, which section 5 compares with SFS.

An SFS can be a feed post, a mass DM or a story, and it can stay up for good or for an agreed number of hours.

2. How can SFS help you earn more on OnlyFans?

SFS can help you earn more because it puts your page in front of people who already use OnlyFans, it costs you nothing but a post, and each subscriber it brings in can be worth far more than one month's price. Here's what the numbers show.

Fans are spending, and creators are competing for them

Fans paid $7.2 billion through OnlyFans in 2024, Euronews reported from the company's accounts. That year, fan accounts grew by 24% to 377,456,000, and creator accounts grew by 13% to 4,634,000.

The money is there, and the audience keeps growing. With more than 4.6 million creator accounts, though, many fans who would enjoy your page may never come across it on their own. An SFS points an audience that's already on OnlyFans straight at you.

Collaboration grows audiences, including small ones

Some of the clearest research on creator collaborations comes from YouTube, where views and subscriber counts are public. A study of 7,942 channels, published in 2018 in ACM Transactions on Multimedia Computing, Communications, and Applications, found collaborations "in many cases significantly beneficial" for both channels involved.

  • Popularity often doubled. Collaboration videos often showed more than 100% popularity growth compared with a channel's solo videos.
  • Small channels saw big gains. For the least popular channels studied, a collaboration could add about 100% more views and new subscribers.
  • Views rose on average. The researchers estimated average view growth from collaborating at between 19% and 51%.
  • Both partners often gained. The study saw gains for both collaborating channels, with smaller channels gaining the most.

OnlyFans doesn't publish figures like these, and a YouTube video isn't an OnlyFans shoutout. The mechanism is the same, though: a creator whose fans already trust them introduces you, and that's exactly what an SFS does.

A new subscriber is worth more than one month

OnlyFans charges 20% on each fan payment, according to the same Euronews report, so creators keep 80% of what fans spend. That covers more than subscriptions. OnlyFans' features guide says fans generate earnings "through subscriptions, tips, pay-per-view content, and other methods."

For every month a subscriber stays, you keep 80% of their subscription price, before any tips or PPV. A subscriber who arrives through an SFS keeps adding to that for as long as they renew, which is why it pays to track what each swap brings in over time, not only the clicks on the day.

An SFS costs a post, not a promo budget

Paid promo comes with a price, while an SFS costs the shoutout you give back, so every subscriber it brings is revenue you didn't pay to get. OnlyFans' promotion guide backs the idea, calling collaboration "a fun way to reach potential subscribers."

3. How did SFS work before ShareYourFans®?

Before ShareYourFans®, SFS mostly lived in DMs, group chats and guesswork. Here's what that looked like:

  • "Hey wanna SFS?" DMs, with no stats, no context and no reason to trust them.
  • Screenshots as proof. Stats came from someone's word, a screenshot or a screen recording from their best day.
  • Swapping with anyone who asked, whatever their niche, page style or audience.
  • Partners who ghost. You kept your side of the deal, and they never posted.
  • "Wait… who's posting me today?" Deals were tracked by hand across DMs, notes apps and spreadsheets, so nobody could see who was due.

How has ShareYourFans® improved SFS?

We built a fix for each of those pains into our platform:

  • Invites instead of cold DMs. Your stats, star rating and requirements travel with your invite link.
  • Verified stats instead of screenshots. Nobody uses SFS without verifying first.
  • Filters and suggestions instead of swapping with anyone. Choose filters such as niche, fan count and Top %, and our directory lists creators who fit, or ask us for suggestions.
  • Accountability. Free-plan posts need screenshot proof, partners rate each other, and our SFS Activity Dashboard shows every collab's status in real time.

4. How does an SFS collaboration work on ShareYourFans®, step by step?

An SFS collaboration on ShareYourFans® runs from listing to rating in one place.

  1. Get verified. We keep SFS closed to anyone who hasn't verified, so every partner's OnlyFans stats have been checked. Free-plan creators refresh that check every 30 days, and Pro stats update on their own each day. How to Find Safe, Verified SFS Partners on OnlyFans explains that check.
  2. Set up your SFS listing. Add a profile photo and About section, then set your partner requirements: minimum fans, minimum Top %, paid or free pages, and content type. Your photo and About section need our approval first. An Active listing is live in the directory; a paused one keeps your settings but hides you.
  3. Find partners. In our Browse Creators directory, filter by SFS type, Top %, fan count and niche to see the creators who match. Each card lists a verified fan count and a 30-day Top %. Or message us for partner suggestions.
  4. Send a request, or share your invite link. Request a swap from a creator's listing, or send your invite link, made from the "Get even more SFS Partners" banner above your listing photo.
  5. Look at fan overlap (Pro). If you both have Pro, you'll see what percentage of your fans already subscribe to them before you say yes.
  6. Accept or decline. You can decline any request for any reason, and it doesn't affect your ratings. A declined creator can send a counter-offer that fits better.
  7. Get your post up in time. Free-plan creators schedule the swap post by hand before the deadline, then upload a screenshot as proof. On Pro, we schedule the feed post or mass DM automatically.
  8. Rate each other. When the swap is done, you and your partner can rate each other and leave a short review, and your star rating shows on your invite link.

What does your invite link do?

Your invite link is a unique link to your SFS listing that you can share anywhere, from DMs and bios to group chats. It shows your requirements, your star rating, and your verified fan count and Top % from the past 30 days. We walk anyone without a ShareYourFans® account through making a free one, then take them to your SFS request page.

It also rewards you for bringing creators in. If someone who signs up through your link later subscribes to Pro, you get 10% of what they pay for Pro for as long as they stay subscribed to Pro, plus 1% of every promo they buy on ShareYourFans®. It's our way of giving back to the creators who help our community grow.

5. SFS vs a content collab vs paid promo: what's the difference?

SFS is a promotion trade, a content collab means making content together, and paid promo means buying feed posts, mass DMs or guaranteed gains from a seller.

SFS vs a content collab

A content collab puts both of you in the same content, so OnlyFans has its own steps for it. Its Creator Center guide says a collaborator who is a verified OnlyFans creator can be tagged with their @username. A collaborator who isn't gets a verification link, and the post goes live only after they agree to OnlyFans' Terms and their ID check is complete. OnlyFans' promotion guide adds that collaborators can also offer content together as a PPV message.

SFS vs paid promo on the Promo Marketplace

Trade with SFS when you and a partner both gain from swapping. Buy promo when a swap doesn't fit, such as when you want new subscribers guaranteed.

6. What's the difference between SFS and GG Swap?

SFS trades shoutouts, and GG Swap trades fans. Our own summary: "SFS = tag trades. GG Swap = tracked fan trades." GG Swap has been live on ShareYourFans® since 10 May 2026.

GG Swap is a Pro feature: both creators need Pro, so our software can run the swap automatically. You and another creator set a fan-count goal together, and each of you promotes the other using a unique tracking link. As real fans subscribe, the swap fills up; you can both see its tracking link ROI, and we notify you both once it's done.

7. When is an SFS worth it?

An SFS is worth it when you can see who you're swapping with before you agree, and see what the swap brought you afterwards.

What to checkWorth itNot worth it
Their statsA verified fan count and Top %Numbers you can't check
Their track recordA good star rating from past swapsA low star rating from past swaps
Shared fansLow fan overlap, when you both have ProA big share of your fans already subscribe to them
NicheTheir fans like the kind of content you postTheir fans came for something else
ResultsA tracking link made just for this partnerNo link, so no way to tell what it brought

8. How do you run a good SFS and check what it earned?

A good SFS is one where both of you post what you agreed, on time, and each of you can see what it brought. According to OnlyFans' Creator Center guide, a separate tracking link tells you where visitors came from and how many of them subscribed.

  1. Make a tracking link for this partner only, labelled with their name. Our own SFS tip is one link per creator, with clear labels.
  2. Agree the terms: format, deadline and how long each post stays up.
  3. Send your promo: a photo, your caption and that link.
  4. Post your side by the deadline, and keep it up for as long as you agreed.
  5. Space out your swaps, so promos don't crowd out your own posts.
  6. Compare new subscribers, not clicks, and keep an eye on who renews over the following months.
  7. Leave an honest rating, then keep swapping with whoever sent you subscribers.

FAQ

What is SFS collaboration and how does it work?

SFS collaboration on OnlyFans means two creators promote each other's page to their own fans. On ShareYourFans®, you set up an SFS listing with your requirements, find a partner with filters or your invite link, agree the swap, post by the deadline, then rate each other. It's free for everyone.

Does SFS help OnlyFans creators make more money?

It can. An SFS puts you in front of fans who already use OnlyFans, for the cost of a shoutout, and a study of 7,942 YouTube channels found collaborations often brought new viewers and subscribers to both partners. On OnlyFans, creators keep 80% of what fans spend, including tips and PPV, so each subscriber who stays keeps adding to your earnings.

Is SFS free on ShareYourFans®?

Yes. SFS is free for everyone on ShareYourFans®, and your plan changes how much is done for you: free-plan creators schedule their own SFS post and submit screenshot proof, while Pro automates posting and shows fan overlap when both creators have it. Pro is $35 a month for a single profile, and you can trial it free for 7 days.

How many SFS can you do a day on ShareYourFans®?

SFS lets you post up to 3 creators a day. GG Swap works differently: you can run up to 3 at a time, and each one keeps going until the fan target you both agreed is reached.

What happens if my SFS partner doesn't post?

Start with our SFS Activity Dashboard, which shows where every collab stands. Free-plan creators owe screenshot proof by the deadline, and each side can rate the other once it's done. If a partner ghosts, they can't use ShareYourFans® again until they make it right.
