Short answer: When you buy OnlyFans promo, you're buying access to the seller's OnlyFans fans, so judge the numbers that measure those fans, not a big social following or a busy-looking post. Verified subscriber counts and Top %, reviews from finished orders, claims counted on your own tracking link and fan overlap are hard to fake; screenshots, follower counts on other apps and likes are easy to pad.
- Ask what each number measures and where it came from before you trust it.
- Verified beats shown. A number we pulled from OnlyFans is worth more than one a seller pasted into a chat.
- Your tracking link is the final check. It counts what your promo actually brought in.
Full disclosure: we make ShareYourFans® and run our Promo Marketplace, where OnlyFans creators buy and sell feed posts, mass DMs and guaranteed gains. OnlyFans' rules quoted here come from its Terms of Use (last updated August 2024, checked September 2026).
1. What counts as fake engagement when you buy OnlyFans promo?
Fake engagement is any number that makes a seller's audience look bigger or more active than the OnlyFans fans your promo will actually reach. It matters because every OnlyFans promo, whether a feed post, a mass DM or guaranteed gains (GG), is delivered to the seller's fans on OnlyFans, not to their followers anywhere else.
That gives you one question to ask of every number a seller shows you: does this measure the people who will see my promo?
- Bot followers are accounts that follow without being real fans. They inflate a follower count and never subscribe to anyone.
- Padded engagement is likes, replies or views that don't come from real interested fans, which makes a page look busier than it is.
- Stale or edited proof is a stats screenshot that was true months ago, belongs to someone else, or was changed before it was sent.
What we see most: sellers in Telegram DMs and on X who aren't verified. Their stats are just screenshots, and a screenshot can be edited. Then, once you've paid, there's no proof the promo was delivered, and no way to see what it brought in. Verification, tracking links and Buyer Protection Guaranteed exist for exactly those three gaps.
2. Which seller numbers can be padded, and which can't?
Some numbers a seller controls, and some come straight from OnlyFans or from your own orders. Use this table before you look at anything else.
| Number | Where it comes from | Easy to pad or fake? | What to do with it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Followers on X, Telegram or other socials | The seller's other accounts | Yes. It isn't an OnlyFans number at all | Ignore it for OnlyFans promo; it doesn't tell you who gets your feed post or mass DM |
| A screenshot of OnlyFans stats | The seller, sent by hand | Yes. It can be old, cropped or someone else's | Ask for verified stats instead |
| Likes and comments on the seller's posts | Fans, or anyone | Can be padded | A rough feel at best; don't price a promo on it |
| Subscriber count on ShareYourFans® | Verified by browser extension or screen recording; on Pro, pulled daily | Hard. It's checked, then re-checked | Compare it with the price |
| Top % on ShareYourFans® | Verified, same as above | Hard | Use it with the subscriber count, not instead of it |
| Reviews on a ShareYourFans® listing | Creators who finished an order | Hard. Only buyers who completed an order can write one | Read what past buyers say about delivery and results |
| Claims on your GG tracking link | Your own OnlyFans tracking link | Counted by the link | This is what a GG order is measured by |
| Fan overlap | Both creators' Pro data | Hard | Shows how many of the seller's fans already subscribe to you |
The pattern: anything a seller sends you by hand can be wrong, whether by accident or on purpose. Anything we pull from OnlyFans, or that your own tracking link counts, is much harder to fake.
3. How does verification stop padded stats?
Nobody can sell or swap on ShareYourFans® until their stats are verified. That's the step that takes a seller's own word out of the numbers.
- How it's checked. Every creator verifies their stats instantly with our browser extension, or by screen recording that our team checks.
- How often. On the free plan, creators re-verify every 30 days, so stats can't sit unchanged for months. On Pro, creators never re-verify, because we pull their stats daily.
- What it covers. A listing shows the seller's verified subscriber count and Top %, so you compare the same numbers for every seller.
- What sellers need. There's no minimum to sell, but every seller needs Pro plus the connected browser extension, so every seller's stats are pulled daily.
We never ask for your OnlyFans password to do any of this.
That's the job verification does: it keeps bots and fake accounts out, so the numbers on a listing are numbers we checked, not numbers a seller typed or screenshotted.
4. What should you check before buying guaranteed gains?
With GG, you're paying for a set number of new subscribers, so the question isn't "how big is their page?" but "how will my new subscribers be counted?"
On OnlyFans, GG comes in two kinds:
- GG subscribers on a free page, counted through a campaign link (an OnlyFans tracking link).
- GG subscribers to a VIP page, delivered through free trial links.
How it worked before ShareYourFans®. A GG buyer shared their OnlyFans tracking link stats with the seller, so the seller could see how many claims the link was at. It was hard to keep up with, because it meant constant manual checking. Sellers spent their time chasing buyers for GG link updates and tracking every order by hand, and neither side had one shared, up-to-date number.
How it works on ShareYourFans®. GG is a Pro feature. Claims are counted through your tracking link, and on Pro an order that uses a tracking link shows its clicks, claims and earnings in one place. Fan overlap insights are always on for GG orders, so before you buy you can see how many of the seller's fans already subscribe to you.
What to look at on the order:
- Clicks against claims. On Pro, the order shows both, from your own tracking link, so you're reading your numbers, not the seller's.
- If something looks wrong, raise it. Every order comes with Buyer Protection Guaranteed. In a claim, both you and the seller send evidence, so keep your tracking link numbers and your messages with the seller.
- Earnings. On Pro, the order shows what the tracking link earned, not only how many people came in.

5. What about feed posts and mass DMs?
For feed posts and mass DMs, fake engagement shows up as a seller who looks bigger than the audience your promo will actually reach. Check the details that decide that reach:
- Verified subscriber count and Top %, not follower counts on other apps.
- Expired fans: how many the seller can still message, and whether your mass DM goes to them.
- Placement: whether a feed post is pinned or unpinned, and how long it stays up.
- How long a mass DM lasts: whether it gets unsent or stays.
- Fan overlap: if you're both on Pro, the share of fans you already have in common.
Then measure it. On Pro, a feed post or mass DM order that uses a tracking link shows its clicks, claims and earnings. Some creators give a seller just their OnlyFans @, but we always recommend a tracking link, because without one you can't tell what a promo really brought in.
6. How does buying on ShareYourFans® compare with a Telegram or X seller?
The difference is what happens to your money and your proof if the numbers turn out to be fake.
| A Telegram or X seller | Our Promo Marketplace | |
|---|---|---|
| Seller's stats | Whatever they send: a screenshot or a recording | Verified, and pulled daily for every seller |
| Reviews | Screenshots of happy buyers, posted by the seller | Written only by creators who finished an order |
| Results | Whatever the seller tells you | Clicks, claims and earnings on Pro, when you use a tracking link |
| GG updates | You share your link stats and chase each other for updates | Claims counted on the order |
| If it goes wrong | You message the seller and hope | Buyer Protection Guaranteed: buyer and seller both send evidence |
| Your money | Paid straight to the seller | Held in escrow; the 15% fee comes out of the seller's price |
The 15% fee is taken from the seller's price (a $100 promo pays the seller $85) and covers billing, platform maintenance and escrow. You can also message the seller inside ShareYourFans® before you buy, so ask your questions there.
7. Checklist: before you pay for OnlyFans promo
- Ignore follower counts on other apps; look at the verified OnlyFans subscriber count and Top %.
- Check the stats are verified, and how recently (on Pro, daily).
- Read reviews from finished orders. No reviews yet? Start with a smaller order.
- Check fan overlap if you're both on Pro (it's always on for GG).
- Agree the terms: pinned or unpinned, how long it stays up, expired fans, unsent or stays.
- Make a fresh OnlyFans tracking link for this one promo.
- After delivery, compare clicks, claims and earnings.
8. Risks and tradeoffs
- Real fans can still be the wrong fans. A seller with genuine, verified subscribers can have an audience that doesn't want your niche. That's a fit problem, not a fake one, and your tracking link shows it.
- Verification checks numbers, not activity. A verified subscriber count tells you how many fans a seller has, not how many open their messages.
- No reviews isn't a red flag on its own. Every seller starts with none. Start small with a new seller and let your tracking link do the judging.
- Results need Pro and a link. Clicks, claims and earnings on an order show on Pro, and only when you use a tracking link.
- Paid promo needs a label. OnlyFans' Terms of Use ask creators to label paid promotion with a signifier such as #ad, #paidpromotion or #sponsored. We add #advertisement to every promo automatically.
FAQ
How do I tell if an OnlyFans promo seller has fake followers?
Ignore their follower count on other apps and look at their verified OnlyFans subscriber count and Top % instead. On ShareYourFans®, every seller's stats are verified and pulled daily, and reviews come only from creators who finished an order.
Can a seller fake their OnlyFans stats on ShareYourFans®?
Stats are verified by our browser extension or a screen recording our team checks, and re-verified every 30 days on the free plan. Every seller needs Pro, where we pull stats daily, so a seller can't keep showing old numbers.
How do I check a guaranteed gains order is real?
Use your own tracking link. On OnlyFans, GG subscribers on a free page are counted through a campaign link, and GG for a VIP page comes through free trial links. On Pro, the order shows clicks, claims and earnings, and fan overlap is always on for GG.
What happens if promo I bought on ShareYourFans® wasn't delivered as listed?
Every order has Buyer Protection Guaranteed. If there's a problem, both buyer and seller send evidence, and your payment is held in escrow rather than paid straight to the seller.
Are reviews on ShareYourFans® listings real?
Reviews on a promo listing can only be written by creators who finished an order with that seller, so a rating comes from actual buyers.
