In This Guide
Short answer: This glossary defines the promotion terms adult creators meet on ShareYourFans®: drops, SFS, guaranteed gains (GG), GG Swaps, feed posts, mass DMs, tracking links and verification. Each entry gives a plain definition, how it works on our platform, and the warning signs that something isn't what it claims.
- Free trades: drops and SFS.
- Paid promo: feed posts, mass DMs and guaranteed gains, bought from another creator.
- Proof: tracking links and verified stats.
Full disclosure: we make ShareYourFans® and run more.fun™, so several terms below are our own features. OnlyFans rules quoted here were read on onlyfans.com and its blog in September 2026. Where a term works differently on another platform, a short note says so.
1. What do the drop terms mean?
What is a drop?
A drop is a group promotion where up to 20 creators share one collage and each posts it to their own fans at the same time. Creators join drops; nobody buys one. On ShareYourFans®, drops are free on every plan, and every creator verifies their stats before taking part.
What is a drop group?
A drop group is the group that runs drops for one platform and audience, with its own entry rules. Our groups are hosted by a Telegram bot we built for drops, so random people can't join, and in groups with minimum stats the bot enforces them. Some groups have no minimum at all; others start at higher fan counts.
What is a drop collage?
A drop collage is the single image that holds every creator in a drop, each with a photo and a short caption. We generate it automatically when the drop launches. OnlyFans collages are sized to fill the whole screen so no creator is cut off.
What is the spin wheel?
The spin wheel picks, at random, which creator takes the first spot in a drop collage. We never put ourselves first, so joining early or late doesn't decide who leads.
What is a Fun-Pass code?
A Fun-Pass code is the code that opens one drop's slideshow on more.fun™. Fans can also open it from the drop's link or QR code.
What is more.fun™?
more.fun™ is our fan-facing site where every drop lives as a slideshow, one slide per creator, each with a photo, caption and profile link. We also post every collage to X and Bluesky automatically. Collages never expire. Search and browsing inside more.fun™ are on our roadmap, not live today.
What is drop proof?
Drop proof is a screenshot showing your drop post is scheduled. On the free plan you upload it yourself; on Pro, the drop is scheduled for you and the screenshot is added automatically. Your spot is locked in once the proof is reviewed.
What do ghosting and dirty deleting mean?
Ghosting means taking a spot in a drop or swap and never posting your side. Dirty deleting means deleting a drop post before its agreed time is up. Creators reported for either can lose access to our platform.
Platform note: on Fanvue, a drop closes when 20 creators have joined, or after 24 hours if at least 3 have dropped.
2. What do the SFS terms mean?
What is SFS?
SFS stands for shout for shout: a free, one-to-one swap in which each creator gives the other a shoutout to their own audience. On ShareYourFans®, SFS is always free, and the limit is three swaps per 24-hour cycle. Swaps can run as a story, a DM or a feed post.
What is an SFS listing?
An SFS listing is your public card for swaps: your verified stats, niches, the swap types you offer and what you require from partners. Other verified creators find it in our Browse Creators directory and send requests.
What is an SFS invite link?
An SFS invite link is your listing's personal URL, made to be pasted into DMs, bios and posts. It carries your verified numbers, your stars and what you ask of partners, and a creator without an account is asked to sign up free, then sent back to your request page.
What are partner requirements?
Partner requirements are the minimums you set for swaps: lowest fan count, lowest Top %, and the page types you accept. A checkbox lets you accept requests below your minimums, and any declined request can be answered with a counter-offer.
What is the Friends List add?
OnlyFans swaps can include a Friends List add, which shows each creator in the other's suggested creators. Platform note: on other platforms the "add as friend" step is a follow instead.
What are SFS ratings?
SFS ratings are 1-to-5-star reviews creators leave each other after a completed SFS. Drops have no ratings.
3. What do the paid promo terms mean?
What is a creator promo?
A creator promo is promotion one creator pays another for, in one of three formats. It's a purchase, not a trade, so you owe the seller nothing to post back.
What is a feed post promo?
In a feed post promo, the seller puts a post about you on their own main feed. Placement (pinned or not) and the time it stays live are agreed when you order.
What is a mass DM promo?
In a mass DM promo, the seller messages their fans about you. Whether the message is unsent later, and whether expired fans get it too, are agreed up front.
What are guaranteed gains (GG)?
Guaranteed gains are a promo that guarantees a minimum number of new subscribers, counted through the buyer's tracking link. A seller who misses the number owes more promotion or the money back. On ShareYourFans®, GG is a Pro feature. Platform note: OnlyFans GG comes as new subscribers to a free page (tracked with a campaign link) or to a VIP page (via free trial links). Fanvue and Fansly have their own follower and subscriber kinds, and LoyalFans has no GG at this time.
What is the Promo Marketplace?
The Promo Marketplace is where creators buy and sell feed posts, mass DMs and guaranteed gains on ShareYourFans®. The buyer's payment is held until delivery, sellers are paid by MassPay on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and a 15% fee comes out of each completed sale to cover billing, platform maintenance and escrow.
What is Buyer Protection?
Buyer Protection is our refund process for marketplace orders. Until delivery begins, cancelling gets the buyer all their money back; once it's delivered, they have 7 days to claim if it fell short of what the listing promised. We hear both creators out, then settle it with a full refund, a partial refund or a fresh delivery.
What is the #advertisement label?
The #advertisement label is the ad tag we add to every marketplace promo automatically. OnlyFans' Terms of Use separately require paid promos to be labelled in the caption, with the payer named.
4. What do the fan-trading terms mean?
What is a GG Swap?
A GG Swap is two creators on the same platform trading new fans up to a number they both agree. Tracking links do the counting, and only real subscriptions move it. Both need Pro, three may run at once, and a swap never crosses platforms.
What is fan overlap?
Fan overlap is the share of fans two creators already have in common, shown before you agree an SFS or buy a promo. It appears only when both creators are on Pro, and always on GG orders. High overlap means fewer genuinely new fans.
5. What do the tracking and trust terms mean?
What is a tracking link?
A tracking link is a special copy of your profile URL that keeps its own count of visits and new subscribers. On OnlyFans they're called Campaigns, and its guide to Campaigns says each one shows its clicks and how many turned into subscriptions. On ShareYourFans® Pro, orders that use one show ROI.
What is a verified creator?
A verified creator on ShareYourFans® has proved two numbers, Top % and today's fan count, either through a screen recording we review or in seconds with our browser extension. The numbers are renewed monthly on the free plan and refreshed daily on Pro. It confirms your numbers and that the account is yours; it isn't an ID check.
What is Top %?
Top % is a creator's ranking on their platform over the last 30 days, taken from the platform's own stats. It's one of the two numbers we verify.
What is the ShareYourFans® browser extension?
Our browser extension verifies stats in seconds, and it's why a Pro seller's listing shows live platform numbers rather than an uploaded image. We never ask for your platform login.
6. Plans, referrals and warning signs
Free Essentials is our free plan: SFS, drops, and buying feed posts and mass DMs. Pro is $35 a month for your first profile and $25 for each extra, with a 7-day free trial; it adds scheduling, GG, GG Swaps, fan overlap and ROI. Every creator also gets an invite link. Refer a creator who later joins Pro and you're paid 10% of their Pro plan for as long as they keep it, and 1% of what they spend on promo.
The quickest way to use this glossary safely is to know what each term should never involve.
| Term | Warning sign | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Drop | A fee to join | Drops are joined, never bought |
| SFS | A fee to "unlock" a swap | A paid deal is promo, not SFS |
| SFS or drop | Stats only as a screenshot | Screenshots can be edited; verified stats can't be picked |
| Guaranteed gains | The seller counts the subscribers | GG is counted through the buyer's tracking link |
| Any promo | Payment up front with no way back | Marketplace payments are held until delivery |
| Any promo | A request for your login or 2FA code | No partner, seller or tool needs it |
| Fan overlap | A promise of "all new fans" | Only overlap figures can show that |
| more.fun™ | A claim that fans search it by niche today | Search is on our roadmap, not live |
FAQ
What is the difference between a drop and an SFS?
An SFS pairs two creators for a swap. A drop puts as many as 20 into one collage, and each of them posts it. Both are free on ShareYourFans®, and only a completed SFS gets ratings.
What does GG mean for adult creators?
GG is short for guaranteed gains, a paid promo with a floor: the seller commits to a minimum count of new subscribers, measured on the buyer's tracking link, and owes more promo or a refund on a miss. On ShareYourFans®, GG is Pro-only.
Do you pay to join a drop?
No. Creators join drops, and drops are free on every ShareYourFans® plan. The free plan means scheduling your drop post and uploading proof yourself; Pro automates both. Anyone charging a fee to join a drop is selling something else.
What is a GG Swap?
It's a fan-for-fan trade between two creators on one platform, toward a target you both set. Tracking links count the real subscribers each side sends. Both creators need ShareYourFans® Pro.
What does "verified" mean on ShareYourFans®?
It means the creator has confirmed their Top % and subscriber or follower count by screen recording or our browser extension, and keeps them current: every 30 days on the free plan, daily on Pro. It isn't an ID check.
