Short answer: We don't have data that shows a free OnlyFans page grows faster with SFS than a paid one, or the other way round, so we won't claim it. What we can tell you is that the two pages grow in different ways: a free page counts subscribers who joined at no cost, a paid page counts fans who already paid, and SFS, drops and guaranteed gains each work a little differently for each.

  • SFS works for both. It's free, up to 3 in each 24-hour cycle, and your partner sees your verified subscriber count and Top % either way.
  • Drops work for both. A paid page can join a free-page drop group with a free trial link.
  • Guaranteed gains differ: on a free page they're counted through a campaign link; for a paid (VIP) page they come through free trial links.

Full disclosure: we make ShareYourFans®, and our SFS, drops and Promo Marketplace appear below. OnlyFans' rules on subscription prices and renewals come from its Terms of Use (last updated August 2024, checked September 2026).

1. What's the difference between a free and a paid OnlyFans page?

The difference is the subscription price. OnlyFans' Terms of Use ask creators to set a monthly subscription price "if any", so a creator can run a page with no price (a free page) or with one (a paid page, often called a VIP page).

That one setting changes what a "new subscriber" means:

  • On a free page, a subscriber has paid nothing to join. Your earnings come from what fans buy after they're in, like individually priced content and tips.
  • On a paid page, a subscriber has paid your monthly price. OnlyFans' Terms of Use say a subscription renews automatically at the current rate unless the fan cancels or one of a few listed things happens.

One rule worth knowing before you change your price. OnlyFans' Terms of Use list an increased subscription price among the cases where a fan isn't charged again automatically. If you start paid low and raise your price later, factor that in for your existing subscribers.

Some creators run both: a free page to reach fans, and a paid VIP page. If that's you, add each page to ShareYourFans® as its own profile, and give each one the promo that suits it: free page drops for the free page, and paid page drops or free trial link swaps for the VIP page.

2. So which grows faster with SFS?

It depends on what you count as growth, and we'd rather show you the trade-off than pick a winner without data.

If "growth" means…What it rewardsWatch out for
More subscribersNo price to clear before joiningA big count that doesn't spend
More subscription revenueFans who pay to joinFewer people clearing the price
More total earningsWhat fans buy after they joinHard to see without a tracking link per swap

The honest test is your own tracking links. Give every SFS partner its own OnlyFans tracking link, and after a few weeks compare clicks, new subscribers and what they spent.

From what we see, the useful question isn't which page wins, it's where each one works best. A free page fits free page drop groups. A VIP page does better in paid page drops, or in swaps that use a free trial link.

3. How does SFS work for a free page vs a paid page?

SFS (shout for shout) works the same way for both: a free one-to-one swap where each creator introduces the other to their fans. On ShareYourFans®:

  • SFS is always free, on every plan. Pro only automates the scheduling.
  • Up to 3 in each 24-hour cycle, whether your page is free or paid.
  • Your stats are verified by our browser extension or a screen recording, re-verified every 30 days on the free plan, and pulled daily on Pro.
  • You find partners with our filters, or by asking our team for suggestions. We don't match you automatically.
  • Both creators rate the swap once it's complete, and the next creator can see it.

What changes is what your partner's fans are being asked to do. A shoutout for a free page asks them to subscribe at no cost. A shoutout for a paid page asks them to pay your price, unless you give your partner a free trial link to share.

Things to agree before the swap, beyond the usual format and timing:

  • Free or paid, both sides. Tell your partner which yours is, and ask about theirs.
  • Which link they share. A free page and a VIP page can swap with each other: the VIP page uses a free trial link, and the free page uses a campaign link.
  • Fan overlap. If you're both on Pro, check how many fans you already share.

Our SFS listings and filters show whether a page is free or paid, so you can see it before you ask anyone to swap. Each listing says which page types that creator works with (paid, free or both), their minimum fans and top %, and whether they accept requests below their minimums. Either of you can decline a request or counter-offer. And a free page doesn't have to stick to free pages: a VIP page can swap with a free page, with the VIP side using a free trial link and the free side using a campaign link.

4. How do drops work for a free page vs a paid page?

A drop is like an SFS with up to 20 creators: everyone shares one collage. Joining is free on every plan.

  • Paid pages can join free-page drop groups. A paid OnlyFans page can join a free-page drop group with a free trial link, so fans from those free pages can try you at no cost. Without one, a paid page has a hard sell in a free-page collage: why would a fan pay to subscribe to you when they can subscribe to everyone else in it for free?
  • Some groups have minimums. Our own custom Telegram bot hosts our drops, so random people can't join, and in groups with minimum stats the bot checks every creator meets them.
  • Closing works the same. Whichever comes first: 20 creators in the collage, or 24 hours open with at least 3.
  • The collage lasts. It shows on more.fun™ and goes to our X and Bluesky accounts, and those posts stay up forever.

There are two types of drop group: free page drops and paid page drops. Free-To-Enter pages and Free Trial Link pages count as free for drops. A paid page fits paid page drops; it can also join a free page drop with a free trial link, but in a free drop it may get skipped by fans who want free pages.

5. How do guaranteed gains work for a free page vs a paid page?

Guaranteed gains (GG) are where page price makes the biggest practical difference, because it changes how new subscribers are delivered and counted.

Free pagePaid (VIP) page
What you buyGG subscribersGG subscribers
How they arriveThrough a campaign linkThrough free trial links
How they're countedClaims on your campaign (tracking) linkThrough the tracking link

Fan overlap is always shown on GG orders, so you can see how many of the seller's fans already subscribe to you before you buy. On Pro, an order that uses a tracking link shows its clicks, claims and earnings.

How it worked before ShareYourFans®. A buyer shared their OnlyFans tracking link stats with the seller so the seller knew how many claims it was at, and sellers spent their time chasing buyers for GG link updates. On our Promo Marketplace, claims are counted on the order, and every order has Buyer Protection Guaranteed.

6. Free vs paid OnlyFans page at a glance

ShareYourFans® Pro$35/month for your first profile, $25/month for each extra$35/month for your first profile, $25/month for each extra

Pro is priced per profile: $35/month for your first profile and $25/month for each extra profile, up to 10 (more than 10 is our Agency plan). So a free page plus a VIP page on Pro is $35 + $25 = $60 a month. Each profile is its own connection, so you add and verify each page separately and schedule each one separately.

7. How do you measure which page is growing?

Measure each page with its own links, so the numbers answer your question instead of a rule of thumb.

  1. One tracking link per swap or promo, on each page. Drops use your @username, not a separate tracking link for each drop, so keep a note of which drops you join.
  2. Compare like with like: a free page's swap against another free-page swap, a VIP swap against another VIP swap.
  3. Look past the subscriber count. On a free page, check what new subscribers spent; on a paid page, check whether they renewed.
  4. Use Pro's order view for promo. Clicks, claims and earnings show on Pro when the order uses a tracking link. Some creators give just their OnlyFans @, but we always recommend a tracking link.

8. Risks and tradeoffs

  • A free page's count can flatter it. A subscriber who paid nothing to join hasn't spent anything yet. Judge swaps by what those fans go on to buy.
  • A paid page asks more of each fan. Your partner's fans have to clear your price, which is why a free trial link is useful for swaps and drops.
  • Raising a price has a renewal catch. OnlyFans' Terms of Use list an increased price among the cases where a fan isn't charged again automatically.
  • Two pages means two of everything. Two sets of swaps, two sets of tracking links, and Pro priced per profile.
  • No universal answer. Your niche, your partners and your content decide more than the price setting does. Your own tracking links are the only fair test.

FAQ

Free vs paid OnlyFans page: which grows faster with SFS?

We haven't seen data that settles it, so we won't claim either. A free page counts subscribers who joined at no cost; a paid page counts fans who already paid. Give every SFS partner its own tracking link and compare what each brings in.

Can a paid OnlyFans page do SFS on ShareYourFans®?

Yes. SFS is free on every plan, for free and paid pages alike, with up to 3 in each 24-hour cycle. A free trial link gives your partner's fans a no-cost way to try your paid page.

Can a paid OnlyFans page join a free-page drop?

Yes. A paid OnlyFans page can join a free-page drop group with a free trial link.

How do guaranteed gains work for a free OnlyFans page vs a VIP page?

On a free page, GG subscribers are counted through a campaign link. For a VIP page, GG subscribers come through free trial links. GG is a ShareYourFans® Pro feature, and fan overlap is always shown on GG orders.

Does raising my OnlyFans subscription price affect renewals?

OnlyFans' Terms of Use list an increased subscription price among the cases where a fan's subscription isn't charged again automatically. Plan any price rise with your existing subscribers in mind.
