Short answer: You find out what a promo earned by sending its traffic through a tracking link. The link counts clicks, claims and revenue for that one order, so the answer is measured rather than guessed at.
- Without a link, a promo's result is whatever your follower count did that week, which is not an answer.
- With one, you can say what a specific order brought in and decide whether to buy from that seller again.
- Both sides see it, so there is nothing for a buyer and a seller to disagree about.
Full disclosure: we make ShareYourFans®, our growth platform for adult creators, and the tracking links and order figures below are part of it. What the platform itself allows is drawn from its published Terms and its support site, both checked in September 2026.
1. Why a follower count can't tell you what a promo earned
A Fansly creator who buys a promotion usually measures it the only way available: look at the follower number before, look at it after, subtract. The problem is everything else that happened in between. You posted. Someone reposted you. A drop you joined weeks ago is still circulating. All of it lands in the same number, and none of it is separable afterwards.
So the question "was that promo worth it?" quietly becomes "did this week feel good?" — and that is how creators end up buying twice from someone who delivered nothing, and never going back to someone who delivered well.
What does a tracking link change?
It makes one order's traffic countable on its own. The people who arrive through that link are attributed to that order and nothing else, so the figure you're reading belongs to the thing you bought. Everything below rests on that.
2. What you can actually see
On Pro, an order's tracking-link figures are visible while it runs rather than summarised at the end:
- Clicks — how many people the promotion actually moved, which is the seller's side of the deal.
- Claims — how many of them went on to take the offer.
- Revenue — what the order brought in, which is the only figure that answers the question you asked.
- A notification when it finishes, so you aren't refreshing a page waiting for something to change.
The gap between clicks and claims is the one creators learn the most from. A promotion that produced a lot of clicks and few claims usually means the traffic was fine and the landing offer wasn't. That is a fixable problem, and you would never see it in a follower count.
Do you have to use a tracking link?
No. Some creators hand a seller their @ tag instead, and that is their call. We always recommend the link, for the plain reason that it is the difference between knowing and estimating — but the choice belongs to the creator.
3. Where the numbers come from
An order has two sets of figures behind it and they are worth telling apart.
- The seller's audience stats — their fan count and 30-day Top % — are verified rather than self-reported. Free accounts confirm them again on a 30-day cycle; Pro accounts have theirs refreshed daily, so nothing drifts.
- The order's own figures — clicks, claims, revenue — come off the tracking link as it runs.
A promo listing shows the first kind, which is why a listing here isn't a screenshot of a dashboard. The stats come from the platform. For the buyer that turns "trust me" into something checkable before any money moves.
What is fan overlap, and when does it show?
Fan overlap tells you how much of a seller's audience already follows you. It matters because buying a promotion from someone whose audience is mostly your audience is paying to reach people you already have.
It shows when the buyer and the seller are both on Pro. On a guaranteed gains order it always shows, because that runs on Pro on both sides. Buy a feed post or a mass DM from the free plan and it stays hidden.
4. Before any of this was measured
| Doing it privately | An order on ShareYourFans® | |
|---|---|---|
| What the promo earned | The week's follower change, minus a guess | Clicks, claims and revenue for that order |
| The seller's reach | A screenshot of their dashboard | Verified stats, straight from the platform |
| While it runs | You ask; they reply, or don't | The figures move in front of you on Pro |
| Knowing it's finished | You assume | A notification |
| How much of their audience is already yours | No way to find out | On the order before you pay, if both sides hold Pro |
| Deciding whether to rebuy | A feeling | The order's own revenue figure |
5. Making the numbers useful
- Use a tracking link on every order, including the small ones. An order you didn't measure teaches you nothing.
- Compare orders, not weeks. The point of per-order figures is that they can be set side by side.
- Read clicks against claims. Plenty of clicks and few claims is a message about your offer, not about the seller.
- Check overlap before you buy, not after.
- Keep your own stats current so your listings and invites are accurate — every 30 days on the free plan, automatically on Pro.
- Know what your page allows. Fansly's Help Center and Terms set the limits on how you promote.

FAQ
What creator analytics can Fansly creators get for a promo?
Per-order figures from a tracking link: clicks, claims and revenue for that specific promotion, visible while it runs on Pro, with a notification when it finishes. That is separate from your own audience stats, which are verified rather than self-reported.
How do I know what a promo actually earned?
Send the order's traffic through its tracking link. The people who arrive through it are attributed to that order alone, so the revenue figure belongs to the thing you bought rather than to everything that happened that week.
Do I need Pro to see an order's figures?
The tracking-link figures show on Pro, and only when a tracking link is used for the order. Fan overlap needs both the buyer and the seller to be on Pro, which is why it always appears on a guaranteed gains order.
Where do the seller's audience numbers come from?
From the platform, not a screenshot. Stats are verified before a creator takes part, confirmed again monthly on the free plan and refreshed daily on Pro, so a listing shows figures that have been confirmed rather than typed in.
What does fan overlap tell me?
How much of a seller's audience already follows you. High overlap means much of what you'd be paying for is reach you already have — the single most useful thing to look at before buying, and it shows before you commit.
